Lora Strain - Veterinary Surgeon
Lora Strain BVM&S MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

Lora qualified as a Vet from the R(D)VC in Edinburgh, in 2008. She first worked with the Oban Vets team as a student, and then joined us for her first job. Over her career she has left the practice twice, to work in New Zealand and the Scottish Borders, but has returned to Oban Vets both times!

At work Lora’s main interests are small animal surgery, medicine and behaviour. However, the main thing she likes about working in a rural practice is the variety of animals that she treats. She is now working towards a Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour, and looking forward to using these skills to help animals and their families in the local area.

When Lora isn't working, she is kept busy tending to 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 guinea pigs, 2 aquariums and 6 chickens!
